Description |
UIUCnet Wireless uses the 802.11a/b/g Wireless Ethernet standards to provide access to the campus network and the Internet without the need for wires. |

University faculty, staff, and students, as well as University-sponsored guests. |

The current locations for UIUCnet Wireless are listed at http://www.cites.illinois.edu/wireless/locations.html. Units that would like this service offered in their buildings should contact the Network Design Office for more information. |

(Note: University-sponsored guests must request and receive a temporary guest account.) |

Cost |
This is a subsidy service provided by the Provost on behalf of the campus. Individuals have access to UIUCnet Wireless at no charge. Departments can have an Access Point installed at no charge in public places and for $10.00 per month per Access Point in non-public areas. |
