Description

Web Hosting Services offers University departments and units the option to host web sites from the Departmental Services web servers.

Who can use this service

University departments and units

When the service is available for use

Supported Service Hours:
Twenty-four hours a day, excluding the maintenance hours listed below

Maintenance Hours:
5:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. Monday through Friday
5:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday
5:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Sunday

What you must have in order to use the service

  • Banner expense account
  • NetID
  • Active Directory password
  • WebDAV-compatible client
  • Web authors must be familiar with a WebDAV client. Web development skills are necessary for web work.

Dependencies on other services

Cost

The customary payment plan costs $450 per year and is designed for long-term web hosting. Services such as email accounts and forwarding options, database hosting, application hosting, and additional disk space or data transfer are available for additional fees.
