Description |
UIUCnet is a high-speed wired and wireless network that connects almost all departmental and college buildings on campus. |

The wired network can be used from any campus building, as well as off-campus locations via the VPN or UIUCnet Dialup. The current locations for UIUCnet Wireless are listed at http://www.cites.illinois.edu/wireless/locations.html |

Dependencies on other services |
Internet Service Providers (ISPs), such as AT&T and the Illinois Century Network, that provide Internet access to the Urbana-Champaign campus. |
Cost |
A subsidy provided by the Provost on behalf of the campus allows CITES to offer this service at no charge. |

Units that would like this service offered in their buildings should contact the Network Design Office for more information. Individuals who would like to request changes can contact the CITES Help Desk (see above for contact information). |
