Electronic Directory Editor Web Interface

Description

Email redirection allows people and departments to easily update their NetID@illinois.edu and NetID@uiuc.edu email addresses without the need to notify senders of a change in email accounts.

Who can use this service

Any person, department, or unit with an Illinois Directory entry and the ability to change its email field using the Electronic Directory Editor

When the service is available for use

Supported Service Hours:
Twenty-four hours a day, excluding the maintenance hours listed below

Maintenance Hours*:
5:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. Monday through Friday
5:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday
5:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Sunday

* The NetID Email Redirector service consists of several redundant servers that are rarely inaccessible at the same time. The service will almost always be available during these maintenance hours.

What you must have in order to use the service

  • Illinois Directory entry
  • An email account in which your NetID@illinois.edu and NetID@uiuc.edu email messages are received (for example, CITES Express Email, a departmental email account, Yahoo! Mail, or Gmail)
  • If you choose to change the email account to redirect your NetID@illinois.edu and NetID@uiuc.edu email messages, then you must have the ability to edit the Illinois Directoryentry email field using the Electronic Directory Editor. To do this:
