Documentation

Description

UIUC Active Directory Service (AD) allows departments and units to manage and share computer resources with other departments on campus. Departments and units choosing to subscribe to AD will be able to use a single sign-on to authenticate to Windows machines and use AD services.*

* Some non-Windows machines might also allow single sign-on authentication through AD. Although CITES cannot guarantee support for non-Windows machines, we will make our best effort to resolve technical issues. For more information contact the UIUC Active Directory team at http://www.ad.uiuc.edu/contact.aspx.

Who can use this service

All University faculty, staff, students, and retirees may use the Active Directory. Organizational Unit administration is limited to full-time faculty/staff.
